Established in 1872, Hamilton City Chess Club and Academy is the oldest chess organization in Canada, and a nonprofit organization that aims to promote learning and playing chess in the Hamilton community through regular tournaments, chess classes, and casual games.
We are located at the Canadian Japanese Cultural Center at 45 Hempstead Drive, Hamilton, ON.
We meet every Friday night: 6:00 to 8:00 PM, chess classes for children and 8:00 to 11:00 PM, rated classical and rapid tournaments.
